  A Drama Teacher's Reflections The early part of the week has already revealed a familiar pattern: the constant ebb and flow of student engagement. As a drama teacher, I've realized that nurturing a genuine passion for the craft is essential for creating a thriving theatrical environment. While I appreciate the diverse range of students I encounter, it's undeniably challenging to ignite a consistent fire within every soul. It's disheartening to witness students gravitate towards the path of least resistance, opting for more straightforward methods over more demanding yet rewarding approaches. Yet, this challenge serves a purpose: it winnows the field, leaving behind those truly committed to the art form. It's in these dedicated individuals that I find the greatest joy and fulfillment. I long for a time when the allure of theatre is so pervasive that every student sees a part of themselves within it. While we have yet to reach that ideal, I remain patient. With time...
